Terms of Service

Last updated: August 29, 2026

By using Herald, event hosts and message recipients agree to the following terms.

Service Description

Herald is a platform that allows event hosts to send SMS notifications to guests they have invited to an event.

Host Responsibilities

Event hosts may only add phone numbers for people they have a genuine, existing relationship with (e.g., invited guests to their event). Final consent to receive messages is confirmed directly by each guest via Herald's SMS opt-in flow — hosts cannot enroll a guest who does not affirmatively reply YES to the confirmation text.

Message Types

Messages sent through Herald relate to event logistics, scheduling, and day-of information. Message frequency varies by event.

Opt-Out

Recipients may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

No Guarantee of Delivery

While we work with reputable messaging providers, we do not guarantee delivery of every message, as carrier networks and recipient device settings are outside of our control.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Herald after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
